The Heathrow teddy bears are back for the cutest Christmas ad yet

Keeley Ryan

It feels like it was Halloween just yesterday.

But there’s no getting away from it: the halls are already being decked; the twinkling lights are getting strung up; and All I Want For Christmas is creeping back to the top of our Spotify playlists once again.

And now that November is in full swing, the adverts for Christmas 2018 are starting to pop up.

Heathrow Airport have released their festive ad and it features none other than Doris and Edward Bair, the teddy bears who starred in the airport’s first ever Christmas ad back in 2016 (and then again in 2017).

The mini-movie features the couple enjoying their retirement in Florida: Edward, basking in the sunshine while laying on a pool float; Doris, decorating their Christmas tree in a Hawaiian shirt and retro visor.

But their mood switches when Edward opens the fridge to find a ‘turkey dinner’ in a box, while the tree that Doris had spent so long decorating falls over.

To make themselves feel better, they Skype their family back home in the UK – and the  sight of their family all ready for a cosy Christmas leads them to abandon the sunshine state and head home.

And poor Edward is still having an awful lot of trouble with the towers of boxes of biscuits in Duty Free.

People have been going wild for the heartwarming clip.
