“It’s going to be a special night,” said Ryan Tubridy at the top of the show. And he wasn’t wrong.
Another year, another night of high-octane silliness, hilarious kids and heart-wrenching performances: The Late Late Toy Show 2015 did not disappoint.
Poor Ryan gave Fred Astaire a run for his money; launching into 145 minutes of cardio from the get-go, meeting kid after kid, blazing through 500 toys and making his seventh Toy Show one of his most energetic yet.
Here are our top five Toyshow moments:
1. When Johnny met Evelyn: Little Johnny, complete with braces and a farmer’s hat, chatted to Ryan about his homemade weather forecast game ‘Aimsir’ and his interest in a certain weather forecaster in particular. Seconds later his dreams came true when Evelyn Cusack made a surprise entrance. Watch it go down here…
2. Fionn the rapping farmer: Wearing a smart cap and a sign saying ‘Small Farmer’ Fionn Molloy chatted happily about his IFA dreams, the circus and his farm animal toys. Before launching into an original rap in the style of his real hero… Eminem.
3. Leah & Noah: Facebook stars Leah Kirwan and her little brother Noah from Louth melted hearts across the nation with their performance of Titanium.

4. Lara goes solo: Adorable Lara Reddy from Swords decided she’d introduce her own segment with a slightly dark take on a well known children’s theme, singing: “My Little Pony, skinny and bony, went to the stable, to die on the table.” Kids, eh? 5. The littlest performer: Four-year-old Faye Keohane from Myrtleville made her television debut alongside Tubs, singing her heart out while holding a teddy bear. A pupil at Caterpillars Montessori School in Crosshaven, she did her classmates proud.
Wasn’t Faye Keohane amazing? So cute. Look that that face. LOOK AT THAT FACE. #LateLateToyShow #squeeeeee pic.twitter.com/4PPZPTx7JK
