The Queen Gave Doting Dad William A VERY Public Scolding

The British royal family were out in force for the spectacular Trooping the Colour ceremony in London last weekend, but somebody else was also making a scene on the palace balcony… and it almost went unnoticed.

The event marked the Queen’s official 90th birthday, and while all eyes were on Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and adorable Princess Charlotte, Prince William found himself on the receiving end of a scolding from his granny.

Why? Well, with Kate holding Princess Charlotte, Wills was in charge of her big brother Prince George. The doting dad made the fatal error of bending down to speak to the chatty toddler as the family watched the RAF flypast.

With the royal family officially on parade, it seems the Queen felt her distracted grandson needed reminding of his duties and with a flick of her white-gloved wrist, she ordered the Prince to get up at once with a curt ‘Stand up, William.’

Hilariously, Prince George reacts to the telling-off with a face-palm for his daddy.

The incident was caught by eagle-eyed US journalist Brandon McGinley, who shared the clip on Twitter. Watch poor Wills catch a tongue lashing here:
