The World’s Most Humongous Lego Store Has Opened In London

Scientists swallowed Lego heads to find out how long they take to be pooed out

Everything is awesome! The world’s largest lego store has opened in central London’s Leicester Square.

I have three lego nuts at home, who love the blocks and the movie, who would be saucer-eyed at the Danish shop’s new flagship shop.

Now the largest lego shop in the world, it boasts exciting new experiences, such as a ‘mosaic maker,’ which offers fans of all ages the opportunity to purchase their very own, one of a kind, personalised mosaic portrait. A (really cool) machine captures your image, and in under ten minutes, printed instructions and the bricks required to complete the block portrait are handed to you. The London store is the first in the world to make this unique experience available.

Inspiring creativity and developing the builders of tomorrow is the store’s theme and is encouraged with hands-on interactive brick experiences. These include ‘master builder play tables’, where the kids are free to build whatever they can imagine – inspired by iconic London landmarks and a range of other themes. Certified ‘master builders’ also visit and share tips and tricks to help and inspire children to think outside the box when building their own creations.

Queues are reported to be snaking around the block:

Need to get there? Luckily, lego has created a life-sized London Underground tube carriage. The model tube is the largest build in the store, is made up of 637,903 bricks and took an impressive 3,399 hours to build.

Other highlights include the mini figure scanner – an interactive experience available where people can find out which minifigure they are and the digital ‘endless isle,’ a digital experience allowing shoppers to browse a digital catalogue of all the sets available in store. In a dream-move for harassed parents, the digital aisle calls for assistance by sending a message to staff smart watches. Everything actually is awesome then.
