The documentary aired on Monday night.

There was a powerful reaction to the documentary about HPV vaccine campaigner Laura Brennan, which aired on RTÉ last night. The young woman, originally from Co Clare, was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 24.  She passed away in March, at the age of 26. The documentary, Laura Brennan This Is Me, first aired on the RTÉ player earlier this year. However, it was broadcast again on Monday evening. It showed Ms Brennan as she worked with the HSE to promote the HPV vaccination, touching lives of those across the country with her appearances on TV and on the radio.

And following the broadcast of the documentary, social media users took to Twitter to pay tribute to Laura - sharing messages of thanks and gratitude to the inspirational young woman. Health Minister Simon Harris said:

"Honoured to have known @laura_jbrennan -always have been proud of her & her work. Even more grateful tonight. "An incredible woman whose advocacy will save countless lives. Laura, we will not let you down. Working together, we will eradicate this awful disease #ThankYouLaura"
