There’s a THIRD proposal coming on Coronation Street and it’s pretty unexpected

Looks like there's going to be wedding bells in Weatherfield.

Coronation Street has been fairly dramatic as of late - and, here at Her, we've been hoping they would bring in some lighter scenes. So, we were pretty excited when we heard that Coronation Street would be featuring three proposals in the coming weeks. Next week, Steve McDonald will pop the question to Tracy Barlow, while David Osbourne also does the same with his girlfriend, Sinead Tinker. According to DigitalSpy, an advance TV listing for an episode airing on Wednesday, July 4, spilled the details. It is said to have revealed that it is David Platt who is the one popping the question - leaving "Shona in shock". However, it doesn't look like he is too happy with the response that he gets. The publication notes that the 8.30pm episode follows with: "Shona's lukewarm response annoys David." Uh oh. The pair briefly split earlier this year after David was drugged and raped by Josh Tucker. And while he and Shona appear to have gotten their relationship back on track, is it too much too soon for them to take the next step? It come as The Sun recently revealed that Coronation Street viewers (and David) haven't seen the last of Josh. The character was last seen leaving Weatherfield after David told his family and Ayla Nazir what he had done, but it said to be coming back alter this year. A source told the publication:

"Josh's return isn't going to be anything what fans would expect. "When he left Weatherfield he planned to leave for good, but in Corrie things don't always go to plan and it won't necessarily be his choice to return."
