There's some serious drama for EastEnders' Mick and Linda Carter this Christmas
He's finally out of jail.
But Mick Carter is having a fairly tough time adjusting to day-to-day life once again.
The pub landlord has spent the last few weeks locked up for a crime he didn't commit, with his wife, Linda, going to huge lengths to get him out.
Namely the whole 'pretend-she-didn't-believe-Mick-and-cosy-up-to-Stuart-to-gain-his-trust-to-get-him-to-confess' thing.
As fans of the soap are aware, it worked: like we said, Mick is back. But after going for weeks without visits from his wife, and finding out how far she was ready to go to save him, he's struggling a bit.
And he's got one thing on his mind: getting revenge on Stuart Highway once and for all (which he appears to have done, after a violent showdown).
Over the holidays, Linda is going to become increasingly concerned after she spots Mick having an exchange with Phil Mitchell.
While she tries to get to the bottom of what is going on, she finds out that Mick seriously injured his hand; leaving her to become even more concerned about what is happening.
According to Metro, the couple are in for a rocky Christmas this year.
Despite the Carters' attempts at returning normal, Mick and Linda are having a tough time putting the recent weeks behind them.
And the publication notes that things aren't going to get any easier when a surprise visitor drops by to see them.
Doesn't sound like it's going to be a very merry Christmas this year.
