This summer has been the hottest one in decades.
Many of us have used this as a great excuse to nab a slushie or even hit up our local beer garden.
For our four legged friends though it can be a lot harder to keep cool in this hot weather, they can’t exactly walk into a shop and pick up a cold can of soda.
One Dublin business has considered this furry friend dilemma and thought of a way to help out a parched pooch.
On my way home from work yesterday I spotted that Barkin Bubbles on Cork Street, have kindly provided refreshment for any poor doggy in need of a drink.
The business have left out a large bowl of water outside of their door for any thirsty animal to avail of.
This is incredibly thoughtful of a small business and I’m sure a lot of pet owners in the area will be grateful.
Most days I’m close to passing out from the heat myself and I don’t have a fur coat, so I can only imagining how warm it must be for animals.
This is such a simple gesture to help over heated animals and something that any business could take part in.
Would you like to see more water freely available for pets during the summer?
