US actress Ashley Scott (from TV series Jericho, Birds of Prey and Dark Angel) and her musician hubby Steve Hart have just announced some baby news. A little girl has arrived.
Well done to them, and big sister Ada Bella Ray Hart, but wow, if you thought the name Apple was one you needed to get used to, this one takes some sinking in.
I mean, she is a gorgeous, healthy, bouncing little beauty, that is always the main thing, but she has a lifetime of people asking her to re-spell her name ahead of her. Take it from me, it gets bothersome at times.
The name is… Iyla Vue (pronounced “I love you”).

Whenever anyone asks her name, her response will be “I love you.” She’s either going to land herself in some trouble one day or else she’ll end up living in a hippy commune. The mum of a little 5-year-old girl already told People magazine, “I said, ‘It’s either the greatest name ever or the absolute worst.’ “It took us about four days after she was born to name her because we weren’t 100 per cent, and then at the end I thought, ‘I just love it.’”
What do you reckon, is there an unwritten rule that says if you’re in Hollywood you have to try and outdo fellow actors on the crazy-town baby name stakes?
