This could be a great way to make your house a bit cosier.
Whether you love or loathe the cold weather, most people are in agreement that a cosy house is a necessity to get through the winter months.
That being said, heating bills can rack up extortionate costs and with Christmas around the corner, it’s an expensive time of year for everyone.
It has been a relatively mild November, but Met Éireann has now predicted that it’s going to get “much colder” from next week on.
We’ve stumbled upon a really simple tip that could help insulate your house a bit better – and it’s really inexpensive.
YouTuber, AlaskaGranny shares tips and tricks on outdoor living, but it’s her insulation hack that’s getting a lot of buzz on the platform.
And if anyone knows how to survive a winter, it’s surely an Alaska native!
All that is required to follow her tip is just bubble wrap and water, so it’s really easy to give it a go.
She says that this tip is great for “out of the way” windows. She simply puts water in a spray bottle and spritzes the window and the bubbly side of the bubble wrap, which is cut to the size of the window.
All you need to do is press it on, with the smooth side facing towards you and apparently, it will last as long as desired. Genius!
This easy tip will keep the heat in and create a cosier home.
Sometimes the simplest things are the best and if it means reduced heating bills, rejoice!
