So that’s gender reveals and baby showers we need to cancel now

Friends and family members gathered at Kinloch Fire Department’s station in Pennsylvania this weekend to celebrate the upcoming birth of a new baby when the dad-to-be got into an argument with a guest. A fight broke out and the man ultimately shot three guests, including a 16-year-old boy.

Police Chief John Marhefka said at a news conference yesterday: “From what we understand preliminarily, [the altercation] was about gifts at the shower.”

The Tribune-Review reported that Isiah J. Hampton allegedly got into a disagreement with an unidentified woman. She slapped him and when he allegedly shoved her back, three men jumped in to stop the fight. Hampton, 25, then allegedly pulled out a 9mm semiautomatic handgun and fired three shots, striking a 23-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy.

The three victims were transported to the hospital and are thankfully expected to survive the injuries.

Hampton swiftly surrendered when Police responded to a call saying there was an active shooter. He’s being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on four counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment. A judge set bail at $250,000.

But guns are not the problem, of course, America.
