Three Missing Brothers (Aged 9, 10 And 12) Found By TV Reporter

Alison Bough

Three missing Australian brothers, Jai (9), Beau (10) and Chase (12) Masters, were found by a television reporter on his way to work.

Aussie newspaper the Herald Sun reports that the missing boys had hitched a ride to Melbourne with a stranger and stayed at a friend’s house. Reporter Dean Felton, who works for 7 News, spotted the young brothers in the south of the city at about 9 am this morning on his commute to work.

Mr. Felton recognised the boys from a photo released by investigators after they went missing yesterday from their home about 60 km south of Melbourne city. The TV reporter alerted local police and his newsroom. He commented:

“I feel terribly sorry for them. I gave my phone to one of the boys who rang his father direct and spoke to him.”

Senior Police Office Paul Turner said:

“Three brothers missing from Mornington since yesterday evening have been located this morning. The boys were located safe and well at South Wharf about 10am. Police are currently making enquiries regarding their return home. Investigators would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.”

Police told 9NEWS that the boys had left their home of their own accord, but that the circumstances surrounding their decision have not been clarified as of yet.
