‘Tis the season! Christmas FM is coming back on the airwaves soon

It will run up until Christmas Day

‘Tis the season.

It feels like it was Halloween just yesterday, but we’re already ready to deck the halls for Christmas.

Which is why we were very, very excited to hear that Christmas FM would be returning to the airwaves – and soon.

The festive station will be playing classic Christmas hits beginning at 1pm on November 28, up until Christmas Day.

A spokesperson confirmed the return date on Facebook on Tuesday.

They said:

“Tick tock, tick tock! This day 3 weeks, November 28th at 1pm, Christmas FM launches on FM to turn Christmas on in Ireland.

“Frequencies announced soon.”

But for the people who just can’t wait to tune in to the holiday hits, the station is broadcasting some songs online.

Christmas FM has raised over €1 million for a number of charities to date, including ISPCC, Barnardos, Simon, Age Action and Aware.

The beloved station confirmed earlier this year that they will be raising awareness and funds for Sightsavers.

They said:

“Sightsavers is an international charity working in the world’s poorest countries to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote equality of opportunity for people with disabilities.

“Give the gift of sight this Christmas, as we save over 5,000 people worldwide from a life of blindness, by providing sight-restoring operations through our charity partner, Sightsavers.”
