A two year old boy has died after getting his head stuck in a car window.
Logan Vanderkleed, from Indiana in the US, was asleep in an air conditioned vehicle while his dad was cleaning out another car beside him.
According to a Facebook page
documenting his hospital stay, Logan somehow rolled the window down and accidentally rolled it up with an automatic button.
He wasn't breathing when he was found and was without oxygen and a pulse for "a significant amount of time as family and medical personnel repeatedly gave him CPR", according to a
GoFundMe page set up by a family friend.
Logan was transported to an area hospital and was airlifted to Riley Children’s Hospital.
He underwent surgery but tragically died in his mother's arms a week and a half later.
His mum Lisa wrote
on Facebook:
"Drew, Logan's dad, was holding Logan while 20 friends and family members were singing praise and worship songs together in his hospital room.
"I felt a strong urge to hold Logan. He just wanted his mommy.
"Moments after I got him, he took his last breath.
"At 1:07 a.m., Logan went to be with the Lord. We are comforted knowing he is the best place possible.
"It will be hard for sure though... Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for all of us, especially his sister Kendra.
"You all say I'm strong, but you are all the strong ones."
Doctors were able to preserve his heart valves for future donation.
