Police investigation launched after toddler girl found unresponsive at home

Police in England have launched an investigation after a 1-year-old child was found unresponsive at a house in Lancashire.

An 18-month-old girl was found unresponsive on Wednesday, March 15th.

She was discovered at a house on Kings Drive in Fulwood.

The infant was rushed to hospital where she received treatment.

She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but was then moved to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Despite the doctor’s best efforts, the young girl sadly passed away on March 21st.

Police have launched an investigation following the young girl’s death.

They stated:

“We were called by the ambulance service at around 1.15pm on Wednesday, March 15 to a report that an 18-month-old girl had been found unresponsive at an address on Kings Drive in Fulwood.

“Emergency services attended and the girl was taken to Royal Preston Hospital before later being transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, but she sadly died on the morning of March 21.

“Our thoughts are with the girl’s loved ones at this time,” they added.

No arrests have been made at this time, but a postmortem will be conducted in due course.
