“I have to wake up each day”

Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey has opened up about the singer’s untimely passing.

Tom sadly passed away in March, just 18 months after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

The All Time Low singer fought so hard, but there was nothing doctors could do for him in the end. His diagnosis was terminal.

The singer died at the mere age of 33, leaving behind his wife Kelsey and their two children, Aurelia (2) and Bodhi (1).

Speaking on Loose Women, Kelsey said their youngest doesn’t understand what has happened.

However, it hasn’t been easy with her 2-year-old daughter who knows her dad is gone.

“When Tom went into hospice, she was confused and kept asking, ‘is daddy coming home?’

“I did say he wouldn’t be coming home,” Kelsey shared.

The mum-of-two explained she has been extremely honest with her little girl.

She told her the angels had to collect Tom.

“The next day, I had to tell her that dad’s dead, be honest that he’s not coming back.”

Kelsey said her daughter is still processing the information. She doesn’t entirely understand because she keeps asking her mum if “daddy has an appointment”.

Kelsey said losing Tom has been the biggest heartache of her life, but her children are keeping her going.

The mum said she has to stay strong for her son and daughter.

“I get my strength from within, I have to think, what would he want me to do?” she said.

“I’m just getting through each day. I have the kids.

“I have to wake up each day, I have to get on with it, just trying to be as strong as possible in a really difficult situation and time for us all.”
