Some Topshop staff have since expressed frustration and anger after finding out about the job losses through ASOS's social media account. ASOS announced the buy yesterday morning, tweeting that Topshop and Topman had joined “the ASOS family”.
However, PA News reports that administrator Deloitte only informed the group's 2,500 remaining staff of the news at 9am. It is expected that some 300 Topshop staff will be saved in the move.

Many employees have since taken to social media to criticise ASOS and Deloitte's seemingly premature announcement, citing the treatment of staff as "not good enough."
Another worker called the move "disgusting" and said that their manager found out about the job losses while watching Sky News yesterday morning.
