Trapping Leprechauns is the new Elf on the Shelf

This is very cute.

Similarly to our children spying on Elves during the Christmas festive season, it seems children in other countries are doing something around St Patrick’s Day for leprechauns.

Trapping leprechauns is becoming increasingly more popular with children setting up little makeshift traps for the little mystical creatures.

Using household items like Pringle cans and cereal boxes, children lure these ‘leprechauns’ into a false sense of reality by offering gold coins and then trapping them after they’ve collected their loot.

Schools in America are now teaching children how to trap leprechauns as part of art class, with some seriously impressive traps being made.
