The Dublin Airport Association (DAA) issued a warning about confiscating certain items at security.
They advised passengers to check how to store certain items before approaching security.
Dublin Airport posted to X saying:
"A reminder that hurls and toy guns can't be taken through security in hand luggage. If you need to take them, please check them in."
They included pictures of several items that had been confiscated by security, such as hurls and NERF guns:
"Here’s some of those that have been confiscated by the team over the past week."

Hurls must be checked in before going to security as it cannot be counted as hand luggage to bring on the plane.
Dublin Airport have also devised a list of helpful tips for going through security to make the process more efficient for passengers.
