Once they begin to chat, you best believe they will be listening… to EVERYTHING.
Some mums and dads have learned the hard way that when it comes to life at home, nothing is sacred to a toddler.
One mum started a thread on Reddit after her little one decided to share something she had overheard at home, and it has attracted hundreds of comments.
Parents are continuing to share the weird, wonderful, and embarrassing things their kids say about them in public – and some are laugh-out-loud funny.
One woman wrote: “Not me but my daughter (f 37); her kindergarten aged son announced, “My mom doesn’t wear underwear. She’s too lazy.”
Another said her child goes into serious detail with her art projects:
“My child draws my husband in his boxers on ALL family photos they have to draw – all the little extra details too!!! Hair, nipples, belly button every single time!!
“I always get make up, a mini dress and what looks like 10 inch heels…. I’m a stay at home mom who wears leggings and a messy bun, she always draws me like I’m a lot lizard.”
A third mum said her niece absolutely annihaltes her mum to the nursery staff and said: “My niece told the staff at nursery that ‘mummy sits on the sofa and picks her feet and drinks wine’.”
As we scrolled further into the thread, the stories got more outrageous and equally as funny.
One mum added: “My daughter and I were in an Uber, she told the driver ‘my mommy takes vitamins so that she doesn’t have another baby’. LMAO She told the driver I take birth control.”
