One woman agreed with the man's remarks: "Don’t mind kids sitting in the actual seat where they are supposed to, it’s when they are in the actual trolly I don’t think is right, dirty germ-ridden shoes and hands where we put our foodstuff."
"These days kitchen roll and sanitiser are provided at supermarket doors, instead of whinging why doesn’t he just give his trolley a wipe down before use," one suggested.
One mum suggested that the supermarkets need to provide better trolleys for parents.
She explained that trolleys for parents should be in a separate area.
"When they are mixed in with the normal trolleys people without kids use them and people like myself get stuck with 2 toddlers and a single trolly so one has to sit in the basket bit."
As one mum perfectly pointed out, putting the kids in the trolley also eases the worry of them wandering off or getting hurt.Explore more on these topics:
