Trump Tells Mother: ‘Get That Baby Out Of Here’

Katie Mythen-Lynch

If you were ever in any doubt that Donald Trump’s attitude towards women leaves rather a lot to be desired, the latest bizarre outburst from the Republican presidential nominee should certainly convince you.

Trump shocked a crowd in Virginia on Tuesday by ordering a mother and her baby to leave a rally in Ashburn.

Initially it seemed Trump was almost pleased to have a tiny supporter in the crowd and made a point of telling the mother she was welcome:

“Don’t worry about that baby.” he told the rally. “I love babies. I hear that baby crying, I like it. What a baby.

What a beautiful baby. Don’t worry, don’t worry. The mom’s running around like – don’t worry about it, you know. It’s young and beautiful and healthy and that’s what we want.”

However, when the baby continued to cry, the father-of five lost his cool in a major way:

“Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here,” he said.

Taking on a decidedly sarcastic tone, he continued:

“That’s all right. Don’t worry. I, I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking. That’s OK. People don’t understand. That’s OK.”

Last week the candidate caused widespread disgust when he openly mocked the grieving parents of Capt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim American soldier who died in Iraq.

Looks like The Donald has mothers in his sights right now, which should at least give Muslims, Mexicans and the disabled a break from his bullying for the time being.
