Two bodies have been recovered in separate search-and-rescue missions in Donegal.

The Coast Guard and Mountain Rescue worked together to recover the two men’s bodies yesterday.

The body of a man was found during the search for a Canadian diver who went missing during a deep-sea dive off Malin Head with a group at the weekend.

The body has been taken ashore to be formally identified.

Earlier yesterday, the body of a hiker who had been missing since Thursday was found in the Derryveagh Mountains.

The Coast Guard Rescue 118 helicopter assisted mountain rescue teams from Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim in the recovery.

The man’s body was taken to Letterkenny to be formally identified.
