Una Healy shares two children with her ex-husband Ben Foden

Una Healy and Ben Foden agreed to co-parent their children following their divorce, but things got a little complicated when the sportsman moved to America.

Healy is raising her children in Ireland, but they frequently visit their dad in America, as well as their step-mum Jackie and stepsister Farrah.

Una recently admitted she’s glad that her children are being raised in Ireland.

She said her daughter Aoife and her son Tadhg are so lucky they get to grow up in Ireland.

Una told Woman’s Way that she loved living in England but she always knew they’d return to Ireland eventually.

Una told the publication: “It was lovely in the UK and I was happy over there, but I did feel it was time to come home.”

She said her kids have a great childhood, but admits it’s hard that they can’t see their dad every day.

She said she feels for them because it can be tough.

However, she said Ben is still great with them when they do spend time together.

“In fairness to their dad, he always keeps them very entertained doing really fun things.

“They spent a few weeks in the summer out there and they were doing something fun every day. That’s the nice side to it and the downside is that they don’t get to see him every day,” she said.

Una added: “That’s how it is for us and I’ve accepted that now, as have the kids.”

As difficult as it is for both the parents and the kids, Una said they always look forward to seeing their dad, no matter what the distance.

“They always look forward to seeing him again and when they do see them, they have real quality time with him.”

Last month, Ben Foden revealed he was expecting another child with his wife Jackie.

He married Jackie shortly after divorcing Una, but the pair are reportedly on good terms.
