“Remember how they died & how they shouldn’t have”

An anniversary mass will mark the one-year anniversary of Urantsetseg Tserendorj this weekend.

Her loved ones will gather at St. Kevin’s Church in Dublin 8 on January 23rd. The mass will take place at 12 pm on Sunday.

“Ulambayar and his friends are going to remember our sister Urantsetseg on Sunday,” one of her loved ones shared on Twitter.

Her family and friends said they would “greatly appreciate” the public’s support.

A year has passed since the brutal murder of the mum-of-two.

She was stabbed at the CHQ building on Custom House Quay on her way home from work.

Hazel Chu penned a moving tribute to her.

“She was a cleaner walking home from work. I brought some flowers today to the location where the tragedy occurred & had to ask a friend where best to place them.

She added, “It was yet another depressing sign of how little it was featured & how we tend to forget. We shouldn’t forget. Not her, not the hundreds of other women.

“Remember how they died & how they shouldn’t have. Remember their names.”

Another added, “Remembering Urantsetseg Tserendorj, a Mongolian mother of two, murdered this day last year as she walked home from work. Thinking of her husband, children, family, and friends and the work needed to create a safer kinder Ireland.”

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with her murder. He is due to appear in court later in the year.

We’re keeping Urantsetseg Tserendorj’s family and loved ones in our thoughts during this heartbreaking time.
