The mum said she was so glad she made this trip.
Vicky Phelan has been spending her summer making memories with friends and family and as she and the family return from a scenic road trip, she revealed she had a "bucket list moment".
Renting a car, Vicky, Jim and Darragh headed west on a six-day trip to see the natural beauty of Ireland with stops at Sligo, Donegal, Portrush, and Carlingford.
Firstly heading to Sligo, the family walked along the beach at the Mullaghmore Head scenic drive before a spot of brunch.
Heading to Donegal, they stopped at Assaranca Waterfull, with Vicky saying this was one thing she wanted to see.
As they drove to Dunfanaghy and onto Portrush where they stopped at the Bushmills distillery, it was their next stop that made it for Vicky.
She wrote on Instagram: "The Giants Causeway was everything that I thought it would be…and more,' she wrote on the caption to her post.
"I am soooo glad that I was well enough to make this trip and to make it to the Giants Causeway, which has been on my bucket list for a loooong time. I thoroughly enjoyed the vanlife experience and will definitely do it again."
This isn't Vicky's first trip away this summer as last month she and her friends headed to the five-star Cashel Palace Hotel for their getaway, with Vicky saying she had a wonderful stay before heading back to Kilkenny.
Taking to Instagram, the mum of two said: "Just back from a wonderful night away at my favourite hotel...the @cashelpalace.
"This was my second time staying here. The hotel and it's facilities are simply amazing. I would highly recommend the Spa and the pool and thermal suite...For me, it is the staff and the attention to detail that you get there that does it for me. I will be back.
"I got to try out my new Paul Green trainers from @nozomiennis Thank you to Mary and the staff there for sending the trainers to me. Saved me a trip to Ennis and great customer service.
"More memories made with three wonderful friends whom I would be lost without. THANK YOU John, Stephen and Cian for keeping me real and for making me laugh."
