The weather forecast for the weekend ahead is absolutely rotten

Stay inside this weekend… or wear a very warm jacket.

We’ve been experiencing colder weather as of late, but we’re going to be getting the worst of it this weekend as temperatures are set to plummet.

Temps will go down to freezing point – yep, 0 degrees. Great. The day will be milder but come night time, you’d want to wrap up.

Met Éireann says: “It looks set to be dry and bright on Saturday with long spells of autumn sunshine and just patchy cloud. After a chilly start top temperatures will range 10 to 13 degrees in moderate northerly winds.

“Dry and cold on Saturday night with mostly clear skies. Frost will form in some areas as temperatures fall to between 0 and 4 degrees generally but a few degrees milder near Atlantic coasts. Patches of mist and fog will form also with mostly light winds.”

And as for Sunday: “Southwest winds will freshen on Sunday morning with any frost or mist clearing quickly. Much of the country will hold dry during the day with some sunshine, especially in the east. However, rain will edge in to affect parts of the northwest at times. Top temperatures on Sunday of 12 to 15 degrees.”
