Watch: Road Safety Video From the 70s Has Us In Tears Laughing

Ah, the good old says. The simplicity, the hairstyles and oh man, the clothes!

We just love this video from the archives which tries to communicate the serious message of road safety in a bizarrely light-hearted way.

1974 was obviously a record year for the number of cars on the road as the voiceover artist, Maureen Potter, exclaims;

“Merciful hour look at all those cars!”

And delightfully throws a bit of mild mother-shaming thrown in;

“And very often, when mum brings them to school herself, does she wait for the lollipop man? Not on your nelly!”
