My kids aren’t even nearly teenagers yet and already I’m afraid of the internet where they’re concerned.
We all hear about the violence of some of the video games, the online predators, the bullying, the potential exposure to things about the world that they aren’t ready for.
And then there’s the invasion of privacy that so many of us are concerned about.
We adults aren’t always great at checking privacy settings on our social media pages, so how will our kids fare out?
While we are determined as parents to do our best, to educate our children about their own personal safety in the world, it is always a relief to have a helping hand from another source.
Irish Facebook page TeenTimesSocial have recently released a very powerful video from Watch Your Spacewhich shows the potential negative impact of ‘oversharing’ online.
It sends a really important message to teenagers and one that I know we’ll all be sharing with the teens in our lives.
