The weather forecast for today is not looking too good

You might want to pack an umbrella.

For the past few days now we’ve been hit with a bit of sunshine. It’s not been the brightest or the warmest but it’s been welcome nonetheless.

However, it seems like the weather is going to take a bit of a turn today as Met Éireann has forecast some rain and drizzle across the country.

The weather forecaster said: “Today will be mostly cloudy. This morning, outbreaks of rain or drizzle will affect the western half of the country and parts of South Ulster.

“Amounts will be small. This afternoon and evening will become mainly dry as rain or drizzle mostly die out. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with light breezes.”

Not bad, but not great. As for tonight: “Tonight will be mostly cloudy with some patchy mist and drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.”

Tomorrow is looking up though as the sun will return and temperatures are predicted to reach up to 20 degrees.

“Friday will start off mostly cloudy with patchy mist and drizzle. It will gradually brighten up with sunny spells developing. A few showers will develop in Leinster in the late afternoon and evening. A warmer day with highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees and mostly light west to northwest breezes.”
