Met Éireann have forecast a cold and frosty night on Friday, with temperatures reaching as low as -1C.
And there won't be much change as the weekend begins, with Saturday forecast to be generally dry with breaks in the cloud.
It will be between 4C and 8C during the day, but it will drop to -2C in some areas that night.
Sunday will be another dry and sunny day, with temperatures hitting 4C to 7C.
And it will turn even colder on Sunday night, reaching lows of 0C to -3C.
Monday is forecast to be mainly dry, with some sunny spells and the odd snow flurry in eastern areas.
It will be very cold for the time of year, Met Éireann forecasters have warned, with temperatures staying around the low single figures inland and around 5C and 6C on the coasts.
Overnight, there will be severe frost and the risk of snow showers along the northern and eastern coasts - reaching lows of -2C to -4C.
Forecaster warned that it will "turn progressively colder" from Tuesday, with severe frosts and snow showers becoming more widespread.
