We're looking for a full-time (paid) intern to start immediately. If you know anyone who is a witty writer, a social media fanatic, and writes tweets in their sleep, we want them on our team.
You don't have to be a mum to join us. Maybe you're a dedicated auntie? Or a big sister who has seen it all. Or maybe you just have a thirst for the issues and events that affect women in Ireland today? At HerFamily.ie we're all about a fresh approach to parenting, the way we really live as parents, the struggles, the juggles, and all the nice bits in between. And it’s not just about parenting – we're bringing our readers the latest news, movies, television, books, beauty, health and fashion.
The successful candidate will probably be…
- A social media devotee – from Facebook to Twitter to Pinterest and all things in between, for work and pleasure. Wherever the HerFamily.ie audience are; you’ll be there too
- A techie – the days when a journalist was only a writer are gone. You should be able to tell stories across multiple media formats
- A stickler for quality – you want to deliver the best stories and the best content you possibly can
Responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Editor and multimedia teams in order to create all types of content for HerFamily.ie – including video, audio, graphics and written copy
- Producing concise and accurate copy
- Assisting the editorial team with research
- Live reporting (real-time blogging or live tweeting) when covering important events
As with all internships within our parent company Maximum Media, there is an opportunity to turn this six-month stint into a FULL-TIME JOB! Vacancies can and will be created for candidates who excel in this fast-paced and creative environment.
Journalism and blogging experience necessary.
