Nature is healing.

Westlife has just announced two new tour dates as part of their upcoming 2022 world tour, and you’ll only be dying to get your hands on them.

Making the announcement this morning, fans were delighted to hear that promoters MCD confirmed a special gig in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin next July.

Set to play the stadium on Friday, July 8th, 2022, this will be the first gig in the stadium since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking at the launch today, lead singer Shane Filan revealed that the band couldn’t be more excited to perform again in Dublin.

Adding to this, Nicky Byrne said that while it has been a challenge for everyone, the gig is a “brilliant” sign that things are beginning to look up and get back to normal.

Westlife is also set to play Cork’s Pairc Ui Chaoimh on August 12th and 13th.

Three years have passed since the group reformed and played their last gig in Croke Park, with Nicky saying they “can’t wait to get back into rehearsals”.

Only two weeks ago, Westlife released their latest single which had fans more excited than they knew, so this announcement couldn’t have come at a better time for them.

Releasing their brand new single, Starlight, the track comes off their upcoming album, Wild Dreams, and it’s a certified banger.

The band gave fans a snippet of what to expect from their next era of music by sharing a lyric video of the song on YouTube this morning.

Taking to Twitter, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Marcus Feehily and Kian Egan shared their excitement as they released their single.

The band’s official account wrote: “Our new single Starlight is out now! We hope you love it, official video coming soon…”

Tickets for the upcoming gig and when they’ll go on sale is yet to be announced, but as soon as they are, you’ll be the first to know.
