The former schoolteacher has been lauded for her progressive view on the marriage equality vote, despite her age and the fact that she is a catholic.
She says "I am 101 years old. I believe in the equal rights for all our citizens. Therefore, I will be voting ‘yes’ in the coming referendum."
And just look at what she wore to her local polling station – a beautiful rainbow-coloured get-up in support for gay marriage. Go granny Cotter. How cool is she.
