Why this guy may well be the BEST dad ever…

Sophie White

This little baba may well have the best dad in the world.

This creative dad found a way to make his son’s corrective helmet fun.

When baby Jack was born he suffered from a rare condition, craniosynostosis.

According to the HSE:

“Craniosynostosis is a rare type of birth defect where a baby is born with an abnormally shaped skull or develops one during growth. This is because the normal development of the skull is disrupted.”

“It is estimated that one in every 1,800 to 3,000 children is born with the condition. Three out of every four cases affect boys.”

Helmets can be worn as a corrective measure. For his first year Jack has worn helmets designed by his loving father, who painted Jack’s helmets to match the helmets of Star Wars characters.

Yesterday was Jack’s birthday and also his last day wearing his helmet.

Happy birthday Jack and well done dad!
