Two mothers, Natalie Forester and Chloe Hattersley, appeared on ITV's This Morning earlier this year to say that they had been reprimanded for breastfeeding their children in a public pool.
Then, journalist Virginia Blackburn came on to say that she agreed with this decision as breastfeeding is "on a level with peeing in public."
And we're still not over it.
She said:
Yes Virginia, and clearly there was no consideration for Natalie and Chloe in this case. Please keep telling us why a mother should be hidden away when her child is hungry because you find a boob offensive.“It’s on a level with peeing in public, you have a path that leads to increasingly anti social behaviour and I’d say it’s on that path.”
“There are many natural bodily functions but we don’t do them in front of other people. It’s not about what’s legal or illegal it’s about consideration for other people."
