Gardaí are reviewing CCTV footage from businesses in Dublin’s Temple Bar area as part of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault on a vulnerable woman in Bedford Lane on Tuesday night.
While no arrests have been made, a garda spokesperson told the Herald:
“We are investigating an incident of sexual assault that occurred in Bedford Lane at 1am on February 7,”
The complaint was reportedly made by another person on behalf of the victim.
Bedford Lane runs between Aston Quay and Fleet Street near the eastern end of Temple Bar and is often used as a shortcut from Dublin’s Quays to the busy Temple Bar area.
Businesses and locals have campaigned for the lane to be gated after another woman was attacked there in 2015.
