With years-long waiting lists, soaring fees, troubling staff shortages and many facilities closing, the Irish childcare system is in crisis.

Joining Laura this week to unpack the many reasons that the system is broken is Elaine Dunne from the Federation for Early Childhood Providers and social scientist Dr. Amy Greer Murphy who has carried out extensive research on the staffing issues within the sector on behalf of SIPTU.
