A tad early…

The news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child has been met with great excitement, so much so that people have already begun guessing the little one’s name.

Although Kensington Palace only released the statement today, bookies have already established their favourites with Alice in the number one spot if the royal baby is a girl, and James the top choice for a boy.

Following closely behind are the names Victoria, Elizabeth and Diana while Philip is also in the running if Kate and William’s third child is male.

Although Diana doesn’t appear to be the most favoured female name as of yet, here at Her Family HQ think that this might be a very fitting choice and one Kate and William could opt for.

Although this is mere conjecture at the moment, it’s easy to see why these names have been suggested as all of them are traditional monikers, in keeping with Kate and William’s previous choices, George and Charlotte.

People are also trying to guess when the new arrival is due and if like many couples, they waited until the three-month mark to announce the news, then royal baby number three might arrive in early March.

The speculation is likely to continue for the next couple of months as there’s huge excitement surrounding the royal baby news…
