The Gelderse Vallei hospital in the Netherlands offers clip-on baby beds that simply attach neatly to mum's hospital bed. No extra moving about between the cot and bed post C-section and easy access for soothing, feeding and changing in those early days. Genius.
Kneekers
Kneekers slide onto your baby’s knees and protect them from getting scraped and bumped when they start to crawl, typically between seven and 11 months. Available in both 'Lean Leg' and 'Chunkalicious' sizes depending on your baby's "chunk" factor. Available on Amazon.
The Embrace Chair
Ideal for beginner breast feeders and mums who'd like to fit in some skin-to-skin contact with premature babies in the neonatal unit, the Embrace hospital chair was designed by Ricky Kloosterman, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven. The sofa’s tall back and sides promise "seclusion and a sense of security" while the hygienic imitation leather cushions provide stability and warmth, and tubes can be tucked away for a cosy snuggle and a healthy dose of oxytocin.
