3 Fun Christmas Crafts To Do With The Kids Today

Sharyn Hayden

Another miserable day out there so us mums and dads need to get clever on the kid’s indoor entertainment – again!

Thankfully we have the lead-up to Christmas for excitement so there is still lots of fun to be had in decorating the house and making Christmas cards.

Here are three ideas to give you a hand today!

1. Make a penguin slide on the bannisters

Grab some led lights and wrap them around the bannisters from top to end. Add a layer of craft snow on top, making sure that it is thin enough so that the lights are visible underneath. Then pop some crazy penguins at random intervals down the slide!

2. Print some reindeer feet!

Get those cute kiddie feet out and print your footprint onto paper or card. Hopefully those tickly feet stay still! When the footprint is dry, stick on a pom-pom nose, draw on some antlers and give him googly eyes!
You could then mount it onto a larger piece of coloured card and write Christmas messages inside.

3. Make your own Christmas tree decorations

If you have some lightbulbs knocking about, they make for great decorations for the Christmas tree. All you need are some paints, a few materials that you can find throughout the house and a bit of imagination. The possibilites are endless!
