In need of a post-Easter detox?

Sive O'Brien

I am SO over Easter. And chocolate (for now anyway). Which definitely explains the first two things that I’ve included in this week’s round-up of stuff I like on parent blogs. Here you go…

1. 101 uses for coconut oil from Wellness Mama

101-Uses-for-Coconut-Oil-Wellness-Mama

I came across this post when searching online for coconut oil uses.  I knew it was good stuff  but I didn’t realise it was THIS good. 101 uses? That’s a lot of uses. Time to finally put my pot of coconut oil (that’s been sitting unused at the back of my kitchen cupboard) to some good use.

2. Ten healthy green smoothie recipes from Mom To Mom Nutrition

I don’t know about you but after the week I’ve had, I’m in serious need of a detox. Or failing that, some healthy smoothies. I know it’s been Easter but I have SERIOUSLY over-indulged. Even for Easter. This blogger mum has got loads of (ten, to be precise) delicious-looking and healthy-sounding green smoothies that will appeal to all the family. They’re also a great way to get those healthy dark leafy greens into any kids (and adults) who turn their nose up at the taste.

3. How to cope with a multiples pregnancy from Nesting Story

SMP017

This blogger mum was recently in the limelight when one of her posts – What Having Four Kids (Including Twins) Has Done To My Body And My Confidence – went viral. But it’s her latest post about the emotional rollercoaster that accompanies a multiples pregnancy and how to survive it that is being highlighted in this week’s Blogosphere round-up. It’s a very honest piece with some sound and sensible advice for any mums-to-be who are expecting twins, triplets or more. Also, check out how cute this picture is. It’s the cutest.
