Blow their tiny minds with these homemade GIANT bubbles

Sive O'Brien

If bubbles cause as much excitement in your home as they do in mine (the mere mention of the word is enough to send my 18-month-old into a spin), this giant bubble recipe is sure to go down a treat.

We think this awesome outdoor activity is just the ticket now that Summer has returned (for one day only).

For the bubble liquid you will need:

  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 cup washing up liquid
  • 2 tablespoons glycerin (usually found in chemists or the baking aisle in supermarkets)

What you need to do:

Using a large bowl or pan, slowly mix the ingredients together. Let it sit for around 3 hours.

For the bubble wands you will need:

  • Two straws
  • String

What you need to do:

Thread a piece of string through two straws and tie the ends together so you have a frame for blowing bubbles. You can make several of different sizes to use.
