Book those tickets ASAP!

For any of you who went to Camp Freddo last year, you will be pleased to hear that it’s back in full force this August at The Avon Lakeside Resort for even more fun and adventure (time to get the kids excited!).

For parents who have yet to experience this fabulously fun day out that’s in aid of Barnardos Children’s Charity, you’re in for a treat. Think zip lines, canoes, climbing walls, obstacle courses, archery, and tons more activities to give you a jam-packed day of fun (hurrah!). You may think this is a day for the kids but, trust us, you’ll be screaming on the zip line right along with them.

Each family will be given an interactive digital treasure map of the Camp Freddo area. Using that map, they will work together to find hidden treasures at six hotspots along the route, each of which will unlock new challenges and fun tasks that the family have to complete together to earn points. (So wear comfy clothes, Mums and Dads!)

The camp kicks off on Sunday, August 11, at The Avon Lakeside Resort in Blessington, Co. Wicklow, and runs for four days until Wednesday, August 14. Starting from next week, you’ll be able to book tickets here, where you’ll be asked to enter an access code found on the Cadbury Facebook and Twitter announcement posts.

Camp Freddo isn’t just about having a fun day out (though that is definitely a big part of it), it’s also a chance to raise money for charity. The event helps to raise money for Barnardos Children’s Charity, so every single cent from ticket sales goes directly to them.

It’s a wonderful way to do that extra bit of good in the world while having a brilliant day out with your little ones.

Make sure to get those tickets booked ASAP because those four days will be sold out before you know it. However, we will have a few family passes to give away over the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled on site if you want to nab one of those.

Tickets for Camp Freddo include an entire day at the park (from 10am to 4pm) as well as a picnic basket (for that much-needed break!) and a delicious BBQ at the end of the day.

We cannot WAIT for August to get here. Honesty, we’re just as excited about this as the kids are (if not more so!). It’s the perfect way to get the whole family trying out a new experience.

Now we just have to find a way to look like pros at everything in front of the kids…
