Cheryl has responded to ‘no-present’ rule ahead of Bear’s 1st birthday

Last week it was suggested that Cheryl and Liam Payne had a ‘no-present’ rule ahead of their baby’s first birthday.

Little Bear turns one in a few weeks, and it was reported that the couple just wanted a low-key celebration to mark the occasion. They supposedly wanted an intimate family party and had a strict policy on presents.

Cheryl has since spoken up and clarified that this is all ‘nonsense’. According to The Sun, she told fans, “You lot read far too much nonsense.”

In fact, it’s quite the opposite to the low key affair we were all told about. They’ve decided to mark the actual birthday with the usual cake and presents and will hold another (bigger) party when Liam is finished touring Japan.

A source said:

“Plans for baby Bear’s first birthday started ages ago – but then Liam booked some gigs in Japan straight afterwards.

Liam will be here for the actual day [22 March], which is a Thursday, but then has to fly the next day. It means he won’t be around for the weekend so the party can’t happen then.

There will be two parties for Bear – a small one with close friends and family, then a bigger ones with friends and their children.

There will be a special cake, games – the lot. They both want to make it a day to remember for Bear – even though he’s only one!”

So, it looks like we only got half the story.
