Mom shaming has become an increasingly common thing, especially with the growing popularity of sites like Instagram.
More and more parents are opting to share regular photos of their children online, which is lovely, except for when a parent does something that may not be to the liking of a stranger on the internet.
Enter mom shaming – the quick and easy way to let a mother know that you disprove her actions, all from the comfort of your own home.
One person who knows only too well the plight of mom shaming is Chrissy Teigen.

According to the model, she’s been dealing with it for some time.
“I feel like pregnancy is the time for them to warm you up to the shaming that’s about to come because they really go in on you.”
Speaking to Today, the mum-of-one said that she “definitely” cares about being mom shamed and that some of the things people say really get to her.
Chrissy pointed to a time when she posted a photo of daughter Luna wearing jelly shoes as an example.

“She’s obsessed with jelly shoes and every time I put them on her, I get a million people saying, ‘Those have chemicals in them.’
It’s just so much. I don’t want to have to look at a photo for 20 minutes before I post it.”
Chrissy was also mom shamed for going to dinner with husband John Legend soon after she gave birth to Luna.
People thought it was simply horrific that a new mum would have the audacity to eat food out in the open so soon after having a child.

The shaming didn’t stop then.
Over the past year, Chrissy has received criticisms about the way she has held her baby, the way she has dressed her baby, and even the way her baby has looked in photographs.
Yes, really.

Although Chrissy has absolutely no problem shutting everyone down in situations like these, we can’t imagine it’s easy taking such a pummeling about your parenting every single week.
But the model said that she knows this is not the way most people think.
“It makes you realize that the moms that are the most angry or crazy about their cause, they just happen to be the loudest. But, they’re not the majority.”
