Former Xpose host Peter O’Riordan’s plea to raise funds for seriously ill wife

Former Xpose presenter Peter O'Riordan has made a heartbreaking plea for help after his wife, Stephanie Evans, was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness.

The Maui-based couple welcomed their second son together, Romeo, in September. But the Cork TV presenter recently revealed that his wife had been diagnosed with a chronic neurological illness, Trigeminal Neuralgia, after giving birth. A close friend of the couple has set up a GoFundMe page to try and help raise funds to help the family with medical bills. https://www.instagram.com/p/BK1YM7xAdPh/?taken-by=peteroriordan_ According to the GoFundMe page, Ms Evans had been dealing with the pain on-and-off for more than a year and a half. Sadly, things took a turn for the worse following the birth of the couple's second child. After more than a dozen visits to different doctors, hospitals, MRI's and CT scans, she was diagnosed when she went to see a neurologist. https://www.instagram.com/p/BYpdE4CDEMt/?taken-by=peteroriordan_ The page adds:

"Up to this point, she has tried anti-seizure medications, pain medications, as well as CBD pills. "These medications aren't working much and she's suffering not only from the condition of TN itself but also from all the nasty side effects of the medications. "Stephanie has not been able to return to work due to the fatigue from the meds and chronic pain that radiates constantly from the entire side of her face."

The page is aiming to raise $10,000 (€8,459) to help the family with medical bills. Mr O'Riordan shared a link to the fundraiser on social media, thanking everyone for the love and support. He posted:

"Most of you may or may not know my wife was diagnosed with a chronic neurological disease after the birth of our second little boy this year. "We appreciate all the love and support and are hoping to travel to the mainland next year for treatments."
