Fundraiser set up for little boy who lost his mum just before Christmas

A fundraiser has been set up for a little boy who lost his mum just before Christmas.

Six-year-old Leo Cheung lost his mum, Jessica Cowdery, last month. This will be his first Christmas without her so his family have set up a GoFundMe to try and raise some money to give Leo the Christmas he deserves. They wrote that they wanted to "Make Leo's Christmas special."

"As everyone knows poor Leo has lost his mummy so close to Christmas. "I've set this page up just to try and make Leo's 1st Christmas without his mummy bearable. If anyone can even spare a pound for little Leo it will all help. "Hope everyone can pull together to give Leo a Chrismas he deserves."

Leo has already received over £2,500 in generous donations. People have also been sharing their condolences to the boy on the page. "Hope you have a magical holiday and Christmas little one and always know your mum will be watching over you," wrote one person. "Wherever you are in the world Leo your mummy will be watching over you," said another. Image via GoFundMe.
