Fans slam Jersey Shore star for bringing baby daughter to the beach

Can a baby be too young for a day at the beach?

Yes, according to the fans of one Jersey Shore star.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, one of the MTV show’s original cast members, shared a photo of himself and his two-month-old daughter Ariana at the beach on Tuesday.

The snap shows him cradling his daughter, who is wearing a sunhat, in his arms.

“#ArianasFirstBeachDay,” he captioned the post on Instagram.

The image annoyed some of the star’s followers who thought that baby Ariana was too young to be at the beach with her dad.

“Isn’t she too young to be out in the sun?

“She is too young for the beach. People don’t seem to get that a baby’s skin is suuuuper sensitive , so the more she avoids the beach the better!”

“She does look pinkish red on her lower extremities. A canopy would have been a good idea!”

“A baby this age has no business at the beach.”

“There is no reason to have that baby at the beach. Some people shouldn’t have kids!”

It is widely recommended that babies are kept out of direct sunlight until six months as their skin is so sensitive.

Suncream is also key for protecting their skin. As well as the risk of skin cancer, sunburn can irritate and upset babies so best to take all precautions possible to make sure baby doesn’t get burnt.

Ronnie and his girlfriend Jen Harley welcomed baby Ariana, their first child, on 2 April after less than a year of dating.

The couple separated a few weeks after the baby’s birth.
