Feileacain’s decorations are a beautiful way to remember our angel babies this Christmas

Melissa Carton

A wonderful way to remember them.

While the run up to Christmas can be a wonderful time, for parents who have lost a child it can also b extremely difficult.

Seeing toys being advertised and photos of Santa can bring a lot of feelings to the surface again but it’s important not to push those feelings aside and to remember our angel babies.

Féileacáin (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Association of Ireland) has recently released beautiful Christmas decorations to help commemorate the babies that won’t be with us this Christmas.

The Feileacain decorations come in different designs including baby boy, baby girl and gender neutral designs like the teddy bear pictured above.

They are also available as part of a gift set that includes a pack of Christmas cards, a Robin remembrance candle and 2022 calendar.

I lost a pregnancy in 2016 so I always feel a little heartbroken when I put my other children’s decorations on the tree that people bought them with their names on them.

It feels lovely to know that this year our angel baby will have their spot on the tree too.

The gift bundles are €22 while the decoration on it’s own is €6 and both can be purchased from the Feileacain online shop.
